There is also a pencil inscription on the back of the painting. It looks like it could be the artist signature as well, unfortunately, it too is illegible. The location of the painting is inscribed as Ogunquit, Maine.

The painting was not dated. This painting is in very good vintage condition. Under a black light it shows no signs of paint loss, in-painting or repair. Unframed the painting measures 4 1/2" in height x 6 1/2" wide and together with the beautiful contemporary silver leaf wooden frame it measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2".

The handsome frame was stamped on the back "Made in Italy". It has a depth of 1 1/2 and is in excellent condition.
