Vintage VEEDOL Motor Oil Single Sided Vertical Tin SignWood Frame72" x 15". This 1940's Veedol Motor Oil Sign belonged to the owner of a service station.

In central New York Stat. From the 1930's to the1950's. Following the closure of the service station in 1952, this sign, along with other like advertising items, was placed in storage.

These items were recently discovered prior to the renovation of the original building. The sign stands six feet tall and has bright and shiny orange colored raised block lettering on a black background. The Pennsylvania Oil label and sticker are both present near the bottom of the sign and are complete, colorful and completely legible. The sign is surrounded by a wooden frame that measures 3/4" wide on all sides and is 1 1/4" deep. This vintage 1940's gas and oil advertising sign is in quite good used condition.

There is a small bit of surface rust at the top right of the letter V. " There is a dent near the right edge of the sign adjacent to the bottom of the letter "V. There is a nail hole at the top center of the sign where it was attached to the wall of the service station (Please see pic # 2).
