Hard to find early work on Upson Board by Florida Highwaymen Curtis Arnett. 24"X36" with original crown molding frame.

It's in typical condition for an early Florida Highwaymen painting. For many years, these paintings were considered junk art and were often times painted on left-over building materials taken out of the trash. The group of artists that would later become known as the Florida Highwaymen had limited resources and painted for survival.

In that process, they documented Florida's natural landscape with their artistic talents. After many years of their paintings being practically worthless, they were officially recognized and inducted into the Florida Art Hall of Fame.
