Circa 1940's Landscape Painting Winter Woods Signed at the lower-left, " Corkum " A small cabin set at the edge of a snowy, wooded clearing, under a cloudy sky. A remote North American wilderness in the grip of deep winter. You can almost hear the quiet, and feel the chill in the air.

Oil on masonite (wood panel) 12" x 16" masonite panel. Painted on the textured surface of the masonite.

Undated, however this was probably painted in the 1940's. Housed in an old picture frame, about 15 1/4" x 19 1/4" overall. The frame is wood with composition decoration.

The frame has chips and surface wear. The painting could use a cleaning and has a little craquelure, but is otherwise good.
